with the highest score wins the round. Both players scores should be marked down on the score sheet to keep track of the points earned for each round of the game, and the player winning the round should place an asterisk (*) beside their score to show they are the winner of that particular round. In the case of a tie, both players will receive an asterisk for that round. After each round, remove both players' Starter, Javelin and Field cards and set them aside. The dealer will now replace the missing Field, Starter and Javelin cards with new cards from the remaining cards in the deck, placing them face-down in their positions.
Continue playing the game following steps 5 through 7 until you run out of cards. Remember to write down the score for each player at the end of each round, and winning players don't forget those *asterisks!
Final Scoring: at the end of the game both players will add up all of the points he/she got for each round. Each player will also add up the asterisks they have marking off their winning rounds. The player with the most asterisks (winning rounds) earns an extra 25 points which will be added to their final score. The player with the highest final score wins the game!
Tip: Javelin Throw can also be fun to play as a continuing game where players keep track of their scores from game to game and at the end of a month or two or maybe more, the players then add up their final scores. Whichever way you choose to play, have fun! |
